Who Are You People?

Sometimes when I’m looking at my statistics for this blog, I wonder who the people are that find my blog via google searches.
Because some folks search for the weirdest things:
- Superhero icebreaker questions I can just see a bunch of superheros sitting in a circle trying to break that awkward silence with a couple of my icebreaker questions. Cool.
- Nyquil why tastes bad Apparently, Yoda uses google and found my blog.
- Wasted by carrie underwood video At least I’m not the only one.
- Stare that are pregnant Huh?
- Pregnant wife mean Some poor guy somewhere just couldn’t take it anymore and did a Google search to see if there was anyone out there who could relate.
- Pregnant with stupid husband His wife must have needed help as well.
- Make 1 million dollars in a week Do I know how to do this?
Have you ever noticed any funny/odd searches in your blog stats?

About 90% of the random traffic to my blog comes in from searches for “Dora” and images of Dora. A couple of months ago I did a couple of posts on Lil’E’s love of Dora, and ever since then I’ve gotten between 20-50 hits a day (or more) just for Dora.

Most people used to get to my blog by doing a Google image search for “fat people.” I somehow managed not to throw myself from the Alico building.
I, of course, originally found your blog by searching for “stupid husband with mean pregnant wife wasted on Nyquil.”

That’s hilarious. I don’t think I’ve seen any searches nearly that interesting that lead to my blog. I need to start writing about things like Paris Hilton and Barack Obama, and then I bet I’d get some hits!

That was fun to read! I pretty much have no readers but ever hopeful, or maybe just curious, I view my stats anyway. Every single day someone finds me after googling Lisa Kogan (columnist for O Magazine) and some days I’m a little afraid it may be Oprah herself.

I get a bunch of hits from people searching about the Katy, Texas Ghost… and more recently searching for Glen Phillips.
mine’s not exciting but I felt left out…

Kristin,
That’s seriously random...and funny. Oxpecker and rhino tattoo?
Euphrony,
You mean they didn’t use MAP to find your blog?
Edina,
Wow, thanks! Little known fact: I’m 1/4 Swedish…
Cach,
Ha..too funny. By the way, nice pic in the paper today.
Erin,
I’m glad you found it entertaining. I thought the story on your blog about the figurine mixup was hilarious! You’re husband must have been seriously confused.
Marianne,
I read your blog! If Oprah becomes on of your blog readers, put in a good word for me, ok?
Brody,
Don’t feel left out, the search results for Kristin’s blog are plenty interesting for your whole family. Besides, I’m sure you’ll get a lot of crazy search results for that post about Rita May - that was hilarious.
