This Just Warms My Heart

The other day I was checking weather.com before took The Small Person (my 4 year old) to school.

The ad at the top of the page looked like this:

Although we’ve been to many, many sporting events and concerts, the first words out of The Smaller Person’s (my 2 year old) mouth were:

“Wook, Mommy! People worshipping God!”

As if that didn’t just make my week all by itself, later in the day, The Smaller Person and I were reading a book together and it was the story of The Three Pigs.

When the wolf started blowing the houses down, my daughter said, “He not very nice, momma. I should pray for him.”

She proceeded to pray that the Big Bad Wolf would have a happy heart and that he would obey his mommy and daddy quickly, completely and cheerfully and that he’d be nice to the little piggies.

I wonder what God does with those prayers.

I mean, do they go in the “Prayers for Fictional Characters” File? Or does he elbow one of the angels, and say, “You’ve got to hear this one...”

Absolutely precious.  How could such things not also warm the heart of God?  He must absolutely rejoice in the faith of a child.
