The Goodness of My God

When my mother died when I was 9 months old, God was good.

As I watched other girls celebrate Mother’s Day with their moms, God was good.

When my girls were born, God was good.

And today as they wrapped their arms around me and whispered, “Happy Mother’s Day, Mommy”

God. Was. Good.

(Yes I realize that Mother’s day isn’t until Sunday, but my girls don’t seem to know that. And I don’t mind at all… )

The thing for me to take away from this sweet post is that “God is good”. Thanks for the beautiful reminder.

Oh, that is great!  And so true--he is good, even in the hard times!

Beautiful pictures of you with your daughters.

Nice post, so I guess now I am going to have to actually log in.  Don’t normally do that on a blog but I am a photo type of person. smile

I have lurked here for awhile but never posted a comment.  I lost my mom a year ago and Mother’s day is difficult to think about, yet my daughter already gave me a gift (on the day she made it) because she was SOOO excited. Thanks for the reminder of the beauty of not only remembering mom, but the joy of being a mom!

Lisa H,
Aww...thanks.I especially like the tiger picture. grin

Scott,
Yeah, sorry to make you register. I’m confident, though that the adorableness of my kids will make it worth it.

Barb,
I really appreciate that.

Kelly,
I’m so sorry about your Mom. I’m glad you have your little girl to carry on the legacy of the relationship you had with your mother.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share.
