The Amazing Small Person

The other day Jimmy and I were sitting at the table talking and we noticed that The Small Person had been standing at the refrigerator, writing on the whiteboard for a long time.

She’s in Kindergarten now and is very excited about reading and writing. She enjoys making lists and such on the whiteboard.

We looked at what she was writing and were quite amazed:

In case you have trouble deciphering 5 year old spelling, here is what it says:

“All the days of my life I will praise you God.
You are my Lord.”

May it be. May it be…

That’s so incredible. I pray my kids are like this.

I’m taking an internet break (except e-mail and facebook, duh haha) for the next few days just so I can focus and take care of some things, but I have a favor. smile I’m leaving on Saturday for a missions trip with Campus Crusade to the University of the West Indies in Barbados, and I would really appreciate some prayer if you think about it. It’s my first mission trip ever (and even if it wasn’t), I could always use some prayer. Thanks. smile

Sheesh. Rip your heart out. Probably makes you feel like you’re doing something right. I haven’t felt that way in ten months.

Very cool Kat.  Its moments like that, that makes you glad you didn’t kill them.  (that is a joke for all you overly sensitive people out there)

Lindsey, consider yourself prayed for.  The first one is huge.  You will never be the same after that trip.  Godspeed my dear.

I got chills reading this post.  Your children have such sweet spirits!  I wish I could drive up there and take Biblical Parenting 101 from the two of you…
