Thanksgiving Day Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have a wonderful day full of family, friends and food.
My daughters and I will be playing a game today. We’ll have a chart and every time we think of/see something to be thankful for, we say thanks to God or the person we’re thankful for and then we get a sticker on our chart.
My challenge to all of us is to be actively looking for things to be thankful for throughout the day AND actually say thanks too.
Me? I’m thankful for each person who reads this blog. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to visit. I’ve especially enjoyed getting to know all of you who have stepped out of the shadows and have taken the time to comment. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, opinions and wisdom.

I asked Little Euphrony yesterday what she was thankful for. She told me “For my Barbie scooter, and for my Dora scotter.” She doesn’t have a Barbie scotter, but I think she has the misconception that every holiday is a gift-getting holiday.
Where did we go wrong?

Wow....she’s smart. Even if she doesn’t understand what Thanksgiving is all about, she’s pretty clever to say that she’s thankful for those things rather than just saying she wants them. You’d better get ready for the teenage years…

Oh, you should have seen the expression on her face when she said it. She was thankful, alright. This girl is gonna give me trouble (in a pleasant sort of way) when she gets older.
