InspiredToAction.com

I’ve been hard at work on a new site called InspiredToAction.com.

My hope is that it will be an extension of the community and change that was begun during The 40 Day Fast.

I’m hoping to launch the site in the next week or two.

Right now, I’m working on the design and building the writing/editing team. Here’s a screenshot (Yes, I swiped Andrew’s pic for the mockup. And yes, I’ll ask for his permission if I use it on the actual site.).

About Us
Inspiredtoaction.com is a site whose goal is to both inspire people and give them the opportunity to take action.

A Team Of Bloggers
We will feature a team bloggers who will post regularly about causes and organizations that are important to them.

Front Line Interviews
We will feature articles and interviews with people on the front lines - missionaries, ngo workers etc.

Needs In The News
We will post news about current needs in the world.

Action Packs
We will post weekly “Action Packs” - A series of 5 posts that will simplify the process of getting involved and taking action.
For example, if one of our bloggers encourages our readers to contact their senator about a cause. They will write a series of 5 posts that week that break down that process and make it as simple as possible by listing websites, contact information, possible wording etc and take readers baby step by baby step.

Personal Growth
There will also be occasional personal growth articles that challenge people to not only change the world but to improve themselves as well.

How You Can Help

• Writers who will blog regularly about a cause or organization.
• Writers who will look for and post about the latest news.
• Writers to write “Action Packs” - A series of 5 posts that break down into the simplest steps possible, the process of taking a particular action for a particular cause.
• Referrals for interviews with front line folks.
• Editors to help select and proof read posts.
• A dedicated community who will pray, spread the word, offer suggestions and provide valuable feedback.

In Conclusion

Kat, this looks stellar, not just the idea, but even the actual design.  Very clean, inviting, and professional.  Can’t wait to see the rest of it and to hopefully get involved somehow.
