Why do I rely on the bank for my weather information?

(The high here today is going to be in the upper 70’s. What’s the weather like where you live?)

Today the high is expected to be 82, with a chance of Canadian alt/rock in the early evening.

Growing up in Abilene, our phone number was one number off of the bank’s time and temp.  It was also one off of a local country station’s request line.  We got a lot of wrong numbers.

(Young Euphrony answering the phone) “Euphrony’s mortuary - you stab em’, we slab em’.  How can I help you?”

High of 42 here in Indy, sunny and dry.  We got quite a bit of snow last week and it’s all beginning to melt.  They’re talking about flooding from all the melting snow, plus the rain we are supposed to get this weekend.  I’m glad it’s warmed up a bit, we were in the single digits last week!

Say hi to the folks at KSBJ for me.

Sunny and a high of 68 today. The mountains of NW Georgia are a lovely place…
Oh, and I get my information from the bank at the bottom of the hill, the display in my Mazda6, and the weather widget in Dashboard.

Sunny with a high around 60 today in Middle Tennessee.

Looks like Spring is getting ready to spring pretty soon.

Euphrony,
Did you REALLY answer the phone like that?!

Sounds like it was a nice day just about everywhere, although being from deep South Texas, 42 is a bit nippy for me. I don’t think I’d do well in single digit weather, Cristy. I’d probably dress like the little brother from A Christmas Story.

Paul J.,
Georgia sounds gorgeous. Mountains, nice weather. Hmm....

Chaotic Hammer - long time no comment! It seems like I haven’t seen you around the blogosphere as much lately. Glad to know you’re enjoying some lovely Tennessee weather!

You bet we did.  Our friends knew us, and when you are getting a couple dozen calls from people who want the current temp or to request a song and wont take no for an answer, you get a little frustrated. :(

Kat - I actually haven’t missed reading a single blog entry on my favorite blogs (which includes yours), but went through a VERY busy couple of months when I just didn’t have the time to comment.

It was sort of difficult, too, because there was plenty of good material all over the place to comment about—just no time.
