Parenting Highlights

I often wonder if I’m parenting my kids well.

I get frustrated often. I get tired often. I have to apologize often.

But then there are times that give me hope that I’m not doing so bad.

Today I was talking with The Small Person about how I’d like to take her on a trip, just the two of us. We could bring our scooters, eat breakfast at the hotel (she LOVES eating breakfast at hotels), swim in the pool, go shopping for new dresses and maybe have a movie night.

Later, we were sitting in a chair together reading and she looked up at me and said, “Mama, maybe when we go on our trip together we could bring some books and spend some time worshipping God.”

Good idea sweetie.

Mrs. E was reading this yesterday and Lil’E noticed the picture of you and the Small Person.  Lil’E asked how old she is (she’s 5) and what her name is (uh, Small Person?).  She then said “When can she come over and play?”

She is so wonderful..... because she has wonderful parents.
