Our Son And A Request For Boredom…Please

Here are a couple photos of our little guy.
Isn’t he a cutie?
I’m SO glad to be home with him. He had jaundice and spent the last couple days in the hospital nursery under the photo therapy lights so I only was able to hold him for 30 minutes every three hours. It’s wonderful to be home with him and hold him and stare at him as much as I want.
In other news, just a few hours after we arrived home today we were greeted with the sound of tornado sirens.
Another obstacle for a family of five is that there isn’t a safe spot in our house for five people. So Jimmy and the girls went in one closet and our son and I went in another closet.
F-U-N.
Fortunately, it all passed over and we don’t have any damage here.
What an exciting week. Hopefully, next week will be nice and boring.

He is adorable! How are the girls liking him so far? My step-daughter was 3 1/2 when my son was born and her little mothering instincts kicked right in...it was so cute. Congratulations!

He is a cutie. Now, I still think mine is cuter, but I may be a little biased.
Glad your home, and that the twisters twisted around and not into your house. Growing up in Abilene, I know what its like to hide in a closet and watch a tornado jump over my house: exciting, but not exactly what you want at the moment.
We have some friends whose oldest son was jaundiced. For a month after he was born, they had to put him in a cute little baby tanning bed to get him some serious sun. Not the most serious issue a baby can have, as doctors can so effectively treat it, but still makes those first hours and days trying. Glad that he’s doing better.
Mrs. Euphrony says congrats. She also advises that its not likely to get boring anytime soon. Sorry, but thats the facts, ma’am.

He’s very cute- you can even see that through the standard issue pink and blue towel/blanket and hat. Guess the company that makes those hats has a monopoly on the newborn baby hat market
Sounds like you’re handling the C-section recovery pretty well as well to be running in and out of closets while holding your baby- doesn’t sound like the experience my wife had after 3 of her c-sections!

PS - Maybe the tornado warning is actually symbolic.
(I do have 3 boys remember!)
