One Hundred and…..WHAT?!

It’s supposed to hit 106 here on Monday.

106...as in...degrees.

That is just so many kinds of wrong…

I wonder, could I use my car as one giant crock pot...?

Is the weather any better where you are?

Heat index yesterday = 107.  I’m taking up residence in Barton Springs.

Normally it’s 100+ this time of the year, but we’ve been enjoying temps in the 80’s and low 90’s here in the inland PNW.  Any hotter, though, and I’m headed for the Columbia River.

Just as I was about to complain, you bring me a reality check.  It’s been hovering around 90 in Germany this week...Nothing compared to your 106, but keep in mind, there IS NO A/C in Germany!  Well, I’m sure there is somewhere, but you won’t find it on any military bases grin.

You should come to the pacific coast… and the fun little beach town I live it. It is currently only 65 degrees and sill foggy… I love it.... the fog burns off in a few hours and then it will warm up to maybe 70 grin

I would like to tell Kjaere to shut up, but we don’t use that word in our house.  And it would just be coming out of jealousy! So with a force grin on my face I will just say, “Glad someone is getting to enjoy a warm, beautiful summer.” while I’m secretly thinking, “so, so very jealous!”

It’s taken a break from a 105+ heat index today, but never fear...back to feeling like 105+ tomorrow. Hooray. The South must be wonderful for us to endure weather like this to live here. Of course...it’s not just the South feeling it these days.

And living on the coast (Savannah), it is SO HUMID. blech.

Don’t get me wrong...I’m not getting into a humidity/dry heat arguement.  Hot is hot. I feel for all of us in this heat regardless of percentage of moisture in the air.

It’s a beautiful 75 degree day in the Pacific Northwest. We have perfect weather and awesome volcanos!

Our heat index is 105 today. I would much rather be too hot then too cold. : )

Kat,

I’m one of the few people who enjoys the summer sun in our part of Texas.

Nashville area has been okay.  It’s been rainy the past couple of days but is now sunny and mid to low 90’s.  Yet (for me) it’s humid.  I sweat a lot when I’m outside.  However, i love the hot weather, it’s the cold I find hard to bear.

I hope you can make it through the heat okay!

Kat, it is a sweltering 70 here.  I’m suffering with ya!

(Of course, I’m not in Houston right now.  There I’m sure that people are using their copious sweat to make up for the shortage of rainfall this year.)

It’s been in the 90’s here - not as hot as you have it. The humidity has been in the 50’s during the day but goes up at night so the heat index right now is 96 and it’s 9:15pm! I love the picture you posted!!

I live a couple of miles from the beach, so we always have a nice breeze going.  It actually gets a little too cool for me.  I love hot weather only because you get the balmy evenings.  What I really do appreciate about our weather is the lack of humidity. I’ve been in Texas, NJ, and Chicago in the summer and nearly died from the humidity.

I live north of you in our great state and we had 109 last week, you whimp. Sigh, I am tired of hot.

I don’t think I’ll mind the heat so much when my kids are older when we can spend the whole day at the pool. But right now, The Smallest Person naps and the girls and I are stuck inside at the house.

We like to ride bikes, roller blade and scooter and it’s just not as much fun when your wheels start melting…

Could some of you west coast folks send some of that nice weather to me?
