My 3 Year Old Made Me Cry

As we were enjoying a quiet ride in the car this morning, my 3 year old interrupted the silence with this question:
When we go to heaven, will you get to meet your mommy?
My eyes started to tear up a bit at the thoughtfulness of her question, until she followed it up with:
And will we need to bwing our toofbwushes in heaven or will God have them for us?
I’m never quite prepared for what my kids have to say…

that’s so cute
my newest funny thing my 3 year old said was (hopefully this doesn’t offend anyone):
he had fallen down and got a HUGE scratch on his forehead and a really big scab, hey says to me:
david: “mommy is this part of my skin”
me: “no, it’s a scab. it’s like a band-aid that god gives to help our boo-boo get all better, and then we will grown new skin.”
david: he gets a huge smile on his face and excitedly says “OOOOHHHH!!!, so i’m going to be a black person now”
me: “um, no....”

Becca - that is absolutely gut-bustin’ funny
Kat - I think God has a pretty good dental plan in heaven, so tell her not to worry about the toothbrush.
By the way, on a toothy level, I am curious: will your girls use a “minty” toothpaste? Lil’E has tried it and won’t touch the stuff. She says the mint is too hot. (She also won’t eat peppermints, for the same reason.)

Euphrony - The small person will use cinnamon flavored toothpaste now, which has some zing to it. The smaller one prefers bubble gum flavor. Neither like normal adult toothpaste.

that is both sweet, and funny. I love how honest kids are, and think out loud.
