These are Godiva mint dark chocolate pearls.
Jimmy bought these for me yesterday.
I love Jimmy.
I keep these in my pocket and when it looks like the children are about to overpower me, I turn my back (after all, they can’t know I have chocolate...) pop one of these in my mouth and…
Voila!
Super Mommy.
Ah, the power of chocolate.
So, dear friends, what keeps you going during the day?

did you say mint dark chocolate? I have to have those.
What keeps me going? A cup of coffee in the morning and one in the afternoon. It’s my little quiet time enjoyment, and gives me energy to get through the day.

What keeps me going? Chocolate.
(I see all these commercials where some lady pops a chocolate in her mouth and everything stops around her. When, exactly, did chocolate become this exclusive girl thing? It’s not, you know.)
Chocolate.

I stole all the smarties out of my kid’s halloween candy and I keep a couple in my purse and van for little pick-me-ups now and again.
And of course the kids can’t SEE me eating them!
Those Godiva chocolates look pretty good! Where did Jimmy buy them?

Kat,
that’s funny since it’s back to back with your healthy parenting no sweets in the house post. Made me laugh.
They look divine.
Donald used to buy me Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Macadamian Toffee. I can’t seem to get the hint across that there is a NEW one in the mall.
I don’t remember much past yesterday to tell you what foods brought me comforts when the kids were little. prob. cheap chocolate.

Lisa,
He bought them at Barnes and Noble, I think.
Charity,
Yes, I thought the juxtaposition was humorously ironic…
Did you have fun in the snow?

My daily delight is Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter cups and an episode of Will and Grace. Anything that makes me laugh is good.

Amen Jeff! Man chocolate. Sure fire way to brighten my day. I’d also put my money on Cherry Garcia ice cream & coffee...intravenously.

My last trip through the Amsterdam airport (a mini-city in itself) I picked up some chocolate wafers. Some were plain chocolate (30%, 50%, or 70% chocolate - that’s how they are required to label it in Europe) and some flavored. A couple were 70% chocolate with Earl Grey tea - a very nice combination.
That airport really is amazing. Hotel, casino, art museum, they even have shops selling flowers - tulips, of course. I’m going to have to spend some extra time there one of these days. You can go down to the train terminal and be at Anne Frank’s house in 20-30 minutes. (Sorry, off topic)

I have been weening myself off of Heath bars, and trying to stick to oranges. Its amazing how much they do for me: shot of energy, refreshed. And they don’t stick to my teeth.
