I’ve missed you all!
I feel as though I’ve just come back from Camp KutchaWangaHuggieBuggie and I have so much to tell you but if I open my mouth I’ll talk a million miles an hour for 3 hours straight about all the things that I did and learned and saw and how I want to do this again next year because it was really, really cool even though I didn’t want to do it at first but I did and I’m so glad I did even though I didn’t want to.
So, until I get my thoughts in order a bit better, here are some recent pictures:

Welcome back! The pics are adorable (or rather, the kids in them are adorable).

"Mom, don’t put a picture of me in this swimsuit on you’re blog!”
Welcome back.

I’ve missed you and I’m glad you’re back. I can’t wait to read how you spent the week!
What happened to your earlier post? I saw it, I know I did. But I got interrupted and was unable to read it. When I came back...it was gone.
Thank you for sharing the pictures, your kids are adorable. I think the Smaller Person is thinking, “I can’t BELIEVE she’s taking another picture of me!”

Yay!
You’re back!
I can have my Kat fix now....life is good.
Don’t make me go through that again.

She looks just like a little princess in that second to last picture.

Amy,
Thanks!
Mimi,
Not that you’re biased or anything.
Euphrony,
Glad to be back. Yes, I can just picture her saying..."Maaaaahhhhhmmm" She really works those big brown eyes of hers…
Cristy,
I’ve miss you too! I took down my earlier post because I do feel like I have million and one things to say and I can’t seem to figure out how to write it in a way I like. I’ve learned a variety of things this past week and I’m just having trouble putting it all down on paper..er...pixel.
She definitely was saying that at the time. I take waaayy too many pics of my kids!
Steven,
Aw thanks! Maybe next time I’ll pre-write posts while I’m gone…
Texas in Africa,
Thanks! Should I say the same for you? Aren’t you due back in the States sometime around now? I suppose I would know that if I’d been reading blogs this past week…
Bekah,
She actually is a little princess. Shhh....
Good to see you around here again, we missed you this summer while you were galavanting across the globe.

Helllloooooo Kat!
I have missed hearing about whats going on in your head. Your ideas sometimes challenge me, and motivate me, or push me to think. I really enjoy stopping by your blog, and Im very thankful your back.
And yes your kiddos are precious. I just LOVE that hat on that boy! How big is he now? He looks big!
I took Taylor to his appointment and he was 20, yes I said 20 pounds, I couldnt believe it. I know he has lots of rolls and blubber- but I wasnt expecting him to be off the charts in weight, but average with his height- hes gonna be short like all of us-poor guy!
Its funny how my first was 2 pounds at birth, and always behind on the growth charts, and my last started out at 9 pounds, and is just plain chubby!

the6stricklands,
I’m glad you enjoy the blog!
He IS big. I’m not quite sure how much he weighs, but I’ll find out next week. He’s probably around the 20 pound range like Taylor. Looks like we have a couple linebackers.

Welcome back, Kat!
I didn’t know you were back until I came to your site. Your RSS feed doesn’t seem to be working, for some reason. (And while we’re on the subject, links on your feed have never worked for me. They just look like regular text.)

C-Hammer,
Hmm...I’m not actually going to get back to my RSS reading until tonight so I can’t check out what might be up with the feed. I did look at the feedburner feed and that seems to be working. Try subscribing to the feedburner feed on my homepage.
You’re probably subscribed to the rss feed and I have the atom feed going to feedburner which seems to push links and photos through as well.
Let me know if that works.
Thanks for the heads up!

They are the most adorable children in the world and I’m not saying that because I’m Grandma - they just are! I love you and miss you all!

Kat - Er… uh… Huh?
I’m using Google Reader. I don’t really know anything about feedburner, but Google is supposed to understand both Atom and RSS.
Any tips you can give on “subscribing to the feedburner feed” using Google Reader (if such a thing can even be done) would be appreciated.
Beyond that, I’m not really fluent in feed-ese.
I just know that in my Google Reader, your last three posts have not ever shown up. The last post there is “I Can’t Believe I’m Doing This...”

C-Hammer,
Wow. I know something C-Hammer doesn’t? That’s impossible. You know everything.
Well, now that I re-read my comment I realize it was pretty confusing. What I meant to say was re-subscribe to my feed here. Just click the link in the second column at the top. I’m guessing that you subscribed a long time ago and I’ve changed my feed around a bit since then.
Let me know if that works. Sorry about the confusion.

I’m having the same problem with my Google Reader. I deleted my subscription here and re-subscribed it again and it’s not showing the last three posts at all.

I know something C-Hammer doesn’t? That’s impossible. You know everything.
You sound just like my wife and daughter. Egads. Do I really act like a know-it-all? Clearly, I have horribly misrepresented myself somewhere along the way.
But as of today, lo and behold…
All the missing posts have now shown up in my Google Reader. I did not change anything or resubscribe. They are just there. Perhaps you fixed or changed something today?
Aug 22, 07 at 09:29 am
So after posting that, I decided to try and do what you suggested, and click on your link at the top of the second column…
But when I clicked on it, it took me to a page with the address http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheSecretLifeOfKat, which had an error message:
XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheSecretLifeOfKat
Line Number 1, Column 1:
^
Not being one who is easily discouraged by failure, I decided to try something. So I went to my Google Reader, clicked on Add Subscription, and entered the address http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheSecretLifeOfKat into the text box. Voilà! Now your pages look much better in my Google Reader, links work, graphics work, the paragraphs are separated correctly. Much better than when I had simply entered your URL into the same text box previously.
So, I don’t know if there’s anything you can do (or need to do) to fix the error message I received when I clicked directly on the link above, but if you’ll tell people to enter your feedburner address instead of your actual website URL into the Google Reader “Add Subscription” text box, they should see things much better!
