I Would Have Liked To Be Witty But….

Frankly, I’m too wiped out to be witty.

I’m way behind on my emails and my blogging because Jimmy was out of town all week. Taking care of a 5 year old, a 3 year old and a 3 month old is pretty exhausting and time consuming.

Hence my lack of communication with the outside world.

Let’s Kick It Up A Notch

And just because taking care of three kids by myself wasn’t exciting enough, a friend of mine (whose husband was also out of town) stayed with me for most of the week with her 3 year old and 3 month old.

So let’s recap: 6 days, 5 kids all under the age of 5.

I have stared chaos and anarchy in the face and I have survived.

Nay, I have conquered.
(ok. there was my lame attempt at wit. it’s fun to use the word Nay. You should try it.)

The Home Stretch of The 40 Day Fast

Anyway, I’m back and I’m excited about these last few days of The 40 Day Fast. Don’t forget to encourage your readers to join in on the 31st. And tune in here tomorrow for my idea for Tuesday (Day 40).

So how was your week? (Just for fun, you must use the word “nay” in your comment.)

My week rocked! I presented at a teacher training for the first time and I was so nervous. I am super passionate about my topic...preschool art, just nervous about speaking to grownups.....I still consider myself to be a youngster.

Am I youngster?

Nay, I am ALMOST 30!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I totally get the 3 under 5 exhaustion. We all took naps today after church and both my big ones wet their sheets :( #3 is still down, probably leaking out of her diaper as we speak!

Happy Sunday~

I had a great week - it was very fun.  It was tiring as well though...perhaps more tiring than yours.  Nay, allowing your house that was already one adult short be run over by visitors is very tiring.

I have been running around on vacation, and lack of sleep due to the baby not adjusting to time change and staying at multiple places.  It’s been good, but tiring. Nay, we will not be doing this again soon.
(did I use that right? that was harder than I thought… or maybe it’s lack of sleep)

Jamee,
What was your presentation about in regard to preschool art? That sounds interesting....since I have a house full of preschoolers who love art…

And yes, you ARE a youngster if you’re not 30 yet. I’ll be 32...THIRTY TWO next week. Whew.

And here’s Jamee’s blog address:

Sam,
But what nice visitors they were. We miss them…

Euphrony,
I hope the project review goes well for you! That sounds pretty important…

Kristin,
STOP copying me!  grin

There are 52 weeks in the year and we’re on vacation right now too. Except, we decided to have an “at home” vacation. We’ve been taking day trips to Dallas, Austin etc. and coming back home to sleep at night. It’s been fun.

But I must say I’m a bit jealous of your day at the beach. My girls have been asking to go to the beach for months…

I hope you’re able to squeeze a few days of relaxation into your vacation!

I have taught preschool for 6 years, taking some time off for babies and such. I have my degree in Child Development and I presented on process vs product art. I gave my schpiel(howdoyouspellthat?) then the teachers got to play with lots of differnet things....ever painted with a plunger?

We usually go to the training at Baylor every summer but this year our preschool ministry director organized one at our church. We had about 60 ladies, it was a fun day!

I feel like I progressed to the next level, professionally. I won’t be teaching this year as #3 is just 3 months, but I will go and do some ‘consulting’ and enrichment. I am also planning an art camp at my house, Meet the Masters. Should be fun stuff!

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Mayborn Museum, SO FUN!! My hubby is a Baylor Bear, we try to get there as often as possible! And if my kiddos can get scholarships they’ll be 3rd generation bears wink Otherwise: public school!

Whoa, this is pretty long for 730 am!
