I No Longer Take Pictures With Cardboard Cut Outs of My Favorite Singers

Yes, I used to. (Once. mmm....k?)

But not anymore.

And I don’t search the internet for their wedding pictures either.

But if, for example, a Nashville musician friend sent me a link to Bethany Dillon’s wedding pictures...I don’t think it would be weird for me to want to see them.

Right?

Even though I don’t know her. Or a single person in any of the pictures…

I just happen to LOVE looking at people’s wedding pictures.

These are lovely pics. I just think the photographer really captured a lot of life in each one. They just look very vibrant and emotional.

This one is my favorite. (Yes, I have a favorite wedding picture from a wedding I didn’t attend and of people I’ve never met...deal with it.)

Doesn’t it just make you want to get married all over again?

Check out the rest. They’re gorgeous.

So, um, does anyone else like looking at other people’s wedding pictures? Or am I just weird? Um, maybe...don’t answer that…

Weelll...considering I’ve looked at those pictures over and over over the past few days because I think they’re SO incredibly gorgeous…

...yeah, I love wedding pictures. I’ll click on someone on myspace/facebook if their profile pic is a wedding shot just because I want to see the rest.

i’ll look at wedding pictures mainly b/c one of my friends is a wedding photographer.  i forward good sites to him.  i wonder if he gets annoyed that i do that.

i didn’t know that Bethany Dillon and Shane Barnard were together.  their kids are gonna be some strummin’ fools.

Oh Kat, you crack me up.  I too love looking at wedding pictures.  I don’t care whose they are.

And I’m SO glad you posted that link b/c I got an email from Bethany’s website (b/c I’m on her mailing list, which makes us sort of like friends, right?) that had one picture in it, and I was just really wanting to see ALL of them (because I’m weird), and now I can!  The pictures are really gorgeous.

OH MY GOSH!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE looking at wedding pictures!!! I do it all the time, for real, seriously!! No it’s not weird, it’s perfectly acceptable to browse great photography!! grin Is it bad to admit that i’ve kept a list of photographers i really like for when i do get married? I mean some i have seen that are just aMAZing and would be worth flying out to wherever i get married if they aren’t local to where i am. I would love to be a wedding photographer too, that is on my list of things to do in life.

These are gorgeous pictures....thanks for sharing!

ps- A friend of mine from college had an awesome photographer in Nashville...i should give you the link. She has the nicest wedding pictures i’ve ever seen, no joke (and she is Amy Grant’s neice!) I want to get married in Nashville just so i can have these photographers...is that sad? lol.

May I interject that I don’t have a habit of searching for other peoples wedding pictures, although I do like to browse photographers sites now and then.  I somehow stumbled across Bethany’s pictures following another link - I don’t even remember how I got to them.

ACK!!! I’m sorry Stephen. It didn’t really occur to me that it might come across that people would think that you search for other people’s wedding pics.

My bad.

I changed the post to say “a Nashville musician friend” to more accurately communicate that you’re “in the know” rather than a “web wedding picture searcher person.”

Please don’t stop sending me cool insider info…

Haha, no, I won’t stop letting you know about upcoming Amy Grant projects.  I wasn’t really bothered by the first post, I just wanted to make sure it was clear that, as a single guy, browsing for wedding photos is not a daily habit.  grin

Kat, thanks for that link.  As a father of 3 daughters and my youngest daughter is named Bethany, I’m somewhat sentimental about wedding pictures and these are truly great.  When my daughter Bethany was born July, 2006, I got my wife the Bethany Dillon and others lullabies album “Sing Over Me” and it’s one of our favorites.  I can listen to her sing all day and Shane’s not too bad either.
