How To Read Blogs And Books On Your iPod

As many of you know, I purchased an iPod video shortly after Christmas. I absolutely love it for these reasons:

1. I have ALL my favorite music, pictures and videos with me at all times. This came in really handy yesterday when The Small Person and The Smaller Person and I spent 2.5 hours waiting at the doctor’s office. When they got restless, we just sat and watched some old family home movies. 2 and 4 year olds love nothing more than seeing themselves when they were “little.”

2. I have my calendar and To Do list with me at all times.

3. It just works. My Palm Zire 72 boasted these same features, but it just didn’t work like I wanted it to. My iPod works seamlessly with my iBook.

And my favorite new feature:
4. I can read eBooks and my favorite blogs on my iPod. Today I’ve read several ebooks and the latest entries from my favorite blogs...right on my iPod.

How?

I discovered a nifty little program (Mac only...sorry...if you know of a similar Windows app, please comment) called iPDA. It will translate PDFs, Word Docs, RTFs and just about any other document into an linked ebook format that you can read on your iPod. You can also set it up to download the latest posts from your favorite blogs. It will even download the weather forecast for you, if you wish.

Pretty cool, isn’t it?
