Reason #1 Why My Husband Should Be On Oprah

Finding a good husband is tough. Or so I’m told. Frankly, I wouldn’t know because I have the greatest husband ever. (Don’t even bother arguing with me...)

Honestly, I haven’t watched Oprah in years, but I do seem to remember that there weren’t very many shows about great men. More often than not, men were portrayed as abusive, controlling, immature and selfish.

I think that a lot of women wouldn’t believe that someone like my husband actually exists.

So...I thought I’d take a few days and blog about him....because it’s my blog and I can do that. (I’m kind of sassy today, huh?)

Here’s the most recent example of why my husband is so wonderful:

He honors me
He took me to see Pursuit of Happyness the other night and during the previews of other movies he’d always become amazingly intrigued by our bag of popcorn every time a woman who was “clothing-challenged” was shown on screen.

He’s always done that. Even when he doesn’t know I’m watching and even before we were dating. He flips the channel (to a “safe channel” - input or cspan or his favs) when football cheerleaders are shown, or a commercial has poorly dressed women and if a movie is questionable, he’ll just ask me if I mind if we watch something else.

It makes me feel profoundly special and I think it will really set an example for our son regarding how to view women (someone’s daughter and someone else’s future wife) and how he can honor his own future wife…
