How To Create An Awesome Morning Routine

Today.
I love the serenity and solitude of the early morning. The day is fresh and full of opportunity. Anything could happen. Anything. ANYTHING!!
That beats sleeping in any day.
I don’t want to waste a second of the possibility before me. Today, I can run faster than I did yesterday. Today, I can use my time more wisely than I have in the past. Today, I can meet with the God of Heaven and Earth. The One who SPOKE the world into being. The One who raised the dead, healed the sick and called me by name.
The snooze button doesn’t hold a candle to that.
Today, I can partner with the Alpha and Omega to change people’s lives. To love the unloved. To serve the forgotten. To mentor the innocent. To incite a revolution of hope.
Today is hope. A fresh start. An empty canvas.
We can cover our canvas with accidental spills or we can paint with purpose and passion.
It’s my desire to be intentional about each day I’m given.

I’m incredibly passionate about the impact that a purposeful morning can have on the day.
A couple hundred people have already downloaded my FREE “Maximize Your Mornings” ebook (Does the word ebook sound spammy to anyone else or is it just me? I hate using it. Maybe I’ll just say ElectronicBook. Or maybe not.) My prayer is that many moms lives will be changed for the better as a result of this writing.
I’ve gotten some wonderful feedback so far. Here are a few comments:
“My friend @secretlifeofkat has a fab & free ebook for moms. I just downloaded & fully recommend it! http://bit.ly/5YJt0H” - Allison Worthington (Founder of Blissdom Conference and BlissfullyDomestic.com)
“Wowser, mcdowser.........I can’t wait to get up in the morning!!!!
Very very nicely done. Encouraging, and inspiring. “ - Jamee
“LOVE it!! Simple and doable. “ -Nikki
“Usually- self help type books lose me because there is so much explanation and steps. I get lost in the process. This ebook is very clear- and I like the action items- keeps me focused on my mission!” - Tressa
If you don’t already have a solid morning routine, I hope you’ll download it and create a plan that works for you.
And I’d love to hear from you. Email me, message me, leave a comment here. I want to know what’s working for you and what isn’t. If you need me to email or text you each day to keep you accountable, I’m up for that. If you need help brainstorming a routine that you can stick to, I’d love to help. I really want to help moms figure out how they can start their day well.
You can download it right here, or you can go to the book’s homepage. If you have any trouble at all, just email me and I’ll make sure to get a copy to you.
See you in the morning!
-Kat
Of course, if you like it, please feel free to tweet, blog and facebook about it. Thanks!

Your views on the mornings and seizing the day are inspiring! It is as if you take the sentiment of a “new year” and you actualize it EVERY SINGLE MORNING! (New years resolutions 365 times a year...) I like it.

Hi Kat, This is my first time here, but will not be my last. You have some great words of encouragement and motivation! This one was timely as I have been trying to get in a better routine (my current one involves the snooze button.) Thanks for the great blog, looking forward to poking around!

You are such an inspiration!! I’m half-tempted to put a picture of you by my bed.
Going to try my best to look over the e-book tonight. I’m REALLY excited about it and will be sure to spread the news!!

we have six children all that are either grown married, in college or in highschool still living at home. Morning routine was set down many years ago. It works great and that is what it takes years of practice

Jamee,
I would have been lost without your morning Facebook greeting. Glad you got up.
Jay,
Thanks!
Dave,
Well, thanks so much for taking the time to comment on your first very visit. I hope to see you around often. Yes, the snooze button is our enemy.
Marla,
You crack me up! I really hope we get to meet in person someday.
Angie,
Six children? I’m sure you have a lot of wisdom to share. It’s so good to hear the importance of a morning routine reinforced from someone who has as much experience as you do. Thank you so much for commenting!
