Help Shaun Share Stories

I posted yesterday that Shaun Groves and Brian Seay are in Ethiopia visiting a number of Compassion projects and I was looking forward to following their journey on their blogs, but Shaun posted today that internet access at his hotel is very pricey so he probably won’t buy another day.

Because These Stories Are More Important Than My Morning Coffee

I know I can’t be the only one who would like to stay up to date on the trip and learn more about the projects each day, so I thought perhaps we could do a little fundraiser to cover Shaun’s internet costs. I emailed Becky (Shaun’s wife) and got her approval - so if you’d like to donate, here’s a cute little paypal button.

Three Reasons To Consider Pitching In

1. Many of us have been encouraged and blessed by Shaun’s blog and his heart for kids.
2. I think he really wants to be able to share his experiences with the folks who read his blog.
3. Reading these stories and experiences will soften our hearts and other people’s hearts to the needs of the poor and oppressed.

So, if you read his blog and you’d like to help out, click the donate button and give your coffee money (or whatever) to keep the stories coming.

Let’s shoot for a goal of $50 (25 people at $2 each) I think that would be doable and if it doesn’t cover the entire cost, it would at least go a long way towards doing so.

UPDATE: We’ve already had several donations and we’re at a total of $35. We’re almost there.
UPDATE 2: We met our goal! We have over $60. I’ll send this off to Shaun tonight. It’s so cool to see the community here on the web. Thanks everyone!

I don’t know. Becky doesn’t know the exact costs, but I’ve asked her to ask Shaun when she talks to him next. I’ll keep everyone updated.
