He Keeps Staring At Me

I sit here on the couch with my iBook while my husband is sitting across from me with his Dell as he composes his response to my questions.

He keeps staring at me.

Everytime I look up he’s staring at me.

With squinty eyes, deep in thought.

(a few minutes later...)

Now he’s just reading silently, staring at his screen and smiling.

What is he writing?!

Tell Me About Yourself

I’ve gotten about 10 responses to my questions so far and they’ve been really fun to read. I really hope you’ll take a couple minutes to answer them.

I’ll start posting the replies on Monday.

This didn’t make the list of questions, but in honor of Euphrony, If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?

A eucalyptus tree!

I’d be an Apple tree.

A maple tree.  But i’m not Canadian.

I’d be a magnolia tree, my favorite.

I’d be a mesquite tree, scruffy with deep roots.

Kat, I think we all know you’re and Apple-sider.  But I didn’t realize that Jimmy was a reasonable man using a Dell.

bonsai tree. because i am short and difficult to maintain.

I would be a willow tree because willow trees look pretty swaying in the breeze.  Hehe.

Mmm...I like willow trees...there’s something deep and brooding about them.

A jacaranda. They’re trees in east and southern Africa that bloom purple instead of green twice a year.

Oh I thought eucalyptus was a good answer until I read Magnolia and thought that was great.  I like Japanese Maples for their color changes and lime trees for the fruit.

I would be a tree.

I liked to be a weeping willow- You would always get talked about in school.

“Kids, who can give me an example of PERSONIFICATION. 
What’s that?  Right… weeping willow.  Very Good!”

I’d be a pine tree! I love Christmas!!

Bald Cypress Tree

The bald cypress is strongly associated with the South but is hardy and adaptable to most of the country. It has a pyramidal shape with short green needles and fibrous bark.

Yep. That’s me. I am bald. Strongly associated with the South (always lived here). And I am adaptable in most parts of the country.

I don’t think I am pyramidal shaped, though. And my bark isn’t fibrous.
