NKOTB Returns, Free NNW, TSLOK News and Other Fun Acronyms

Erin Wasn’t Kidding - NKOTB Is Back
So when Erin won the Captcha Contest with her entry about NKOTB, I thought she had just come up with the most random captcha entry ever. But she was actually right. NKOTB is actually reuniting. What?!

Or more importantly...why?

Christy Nockels is in the Studio Again
I think Christy Nockels could read the HTML source code for this page and win a Dove award. She just has a gorgeous voice. So I’m happy to report that she’s back in the studio recording a solo album. (ht: Amy)

NetNewsWire is Free
If you use a Mac, I have some exciting news for you. The premiere RSS reader, NetNewsWire, is now free. I’ve used a number of different readers, but I always liked NNW the best - I just didn’t want to shell out the $30.

Well, I’m glad I didn’t. NetNewsWire is free now and I’m a happy RSS reading little camper.

Brody Is A Blog-Building Maniac
Brody has set up a new blog based site for Phil Wickham. Check it out. I’m seriously excited about the way Brody and Randy have been helping artists understand and get involved in blogging.

TSLOK NEWS

Parent’s University
What are some topic ideas/questions you all have for Parent’s University? Based on your suggestions, I’ll announce next week’s theme on Sunday.

For parents university, how about book suggestions?  Either books about parenting or books for kids to read (or for us to read to them).  I’m always game for a new book idea!

Haha, that’s what makes it so great; who’d ever think they’d reunite, but they are!  I had just heard the news that same day, so of course I had to include that in my entry.  NKOTB may not make much of a comeback, but they helped me win a free iTunes card, so I still love ‘em. smile

On a more serious note, I’d appreciate it if you and anyone reading this would say some prayers for Union University in Jackson, TN.  It was hit very hard by the tornadoes that came through Tues. night.  By the grace of God no one was killed, but many students have lost everything they had, and some of the dorms were completely destroyed.  It’s going to be a very long recovery process, and we could use all the prayers we can get (I teach at UU and also attended there as an undergrad, so the school is very near and dear to my heart.) Also, there have been at least 31 deaths across TN and deaths in other states as well, so remember those families also.  Thanks!

I have a Parents University question I’ve been thinking about…

How in the world do you keep infants, toddlers, and older children (who might get into stuff) entertained and safe while you do basic things necessary to your own survival like:  eating, going to the bathroom, showering, etc.  I’ve found a few tips online, but I’d like to learn more tricks for different ages.
