Free Music: Phil Wickham

“Emerging from Southern California by way of INO Records in 2006, Phil Wickham introduced himself as a refreshing singer/songwriter with much to say against a layered soul and vibe not usually found in the average 21 year old musician. And, as most ears would agree, Wickham’s self-titled debut stands out in a genre crowded with cookie-cutter pop and angst-fueled rock. Wickham is featured here with the beautiful and poetic ‘Mystery.’”
Phil’s song is available for free over at the appropriately named, MyFreeMusicFriday.com, along with music from Geoff Moore, The Turning and Michael Olson.

Got the downloads. I think this is the fourth or fifth song from Michael Olson’s album that I’ve found for free. I may have to buy the rest soon, just to finish off the album.
Speaking of free downloads, I saw yesterday that iTunes is offering free downloads of four Sesame Street episodes, totaling 96 minutes of child-geared programming straight onto my computer. I like easy things like that.

While attending Spirit West Coast in August ‘06 I had a chance to ask Kutless what song they wish they had written. The gave a few titles and ended with, “Oh, and anything by Phil Wickham.” I just HAD to know who this was. Phil’s songs have been such a blessing to me, and I share them in my ministries with both youth and adults. I look forward to being inspired and blessed by Phil’s amazing gifts of voice and song for years to come. Blessings to you!
