My daughter wised up to the quiet game at some point along the way. There must be some kind of preschool insiders’ network where she gets her information.
All I know is that I so much as MENTION The Quiet Game and the waterworks start.
I have given up my sanity and will listen to High School Musical 2 as many times as it takes in the name of peace.
“Iced tea imported from England/Lifeguards imported from Spain/Towels imported from Turkey/Turkey imported from Spain”
See what I’m saying about the sanity thing?

I haven’t used the quiet game yet. Mine is too small still but one day I will love it… one day.

You’re welcome. Glad it’s working for ya.

I hear whiskey is effective too. What? Not appropriate?

I am going to abuse the fact you’re on my blogroll and ask you to promote an idea I’ve had for helping local charities - . Please read about it at http://lordibelievehelpmyunbelief.blogspot.com/2008/01/charity-stimulus-package.html. I would appreciate it if you could help spread the word.

MarkLee,
Ha! My kids haven’t gotten on the High School Musical bandwagon yet and from the looks of things, I’m quite thankful. Right now my girls are really into the HIllsongs kids videos/cds - which is actually quite fun for grown ups to listen to.
I think my oldest is probably wise to “The Quiet Game” but because she and her sister are so close in age, their competitive spirits have allowed the magic of TQG to last a little longer. They love to try to outdo each other.
Victor,
Yes, my friend, you will. It’s funny how when they’re little you can’t wait for them to talk and then when they can talk you can’t wait for them to....um, stop talking. Just for one itsy bitsy second.
Jeff,
It was you?!! Wow. I never knew. So cool.
thecachinnator,
Mmmm...valium perhaps, but whiskey? They’d be jumping off the walls and grumpy as anything the next morning.
Remind me never to ask you to babysit. Thanks.
Jim,
I’ll check it out! Thanks.
Lisa H,
In all honesty? I crack myself up too.
Is that horrible to say? Jimmy laughs at me sometimes because I sit here on the couch snickering as I type.

Yes, {humble grin} I did invent the quiet game. Also, unbeknownst to Al Gore, I actually invented the Internet upon which you blog. I rock.
P.S. You know anyone who needs a bridge? I have one to sell. I invented the bridge, by the way…
