I just found you thru a comment you left on Jen Bacak’s blog.......random! I am a blog addict and can easily spend more minutes than necessary reading them. However, in perusing your I found your nifty forms and I am am planning my uber prganized day for tomorrow. I was totally convicted in church yesterday to face my laziness and get on with my life as a momma to three babes and a wife to one super man. So, thank you for a tool to help me accomplish that! I am looking forward to reading more abou tyou and your fabulous family!
PS. My sister just got a nose ring and I think its pretty cool!

Kinda prefer a lighter/white background myself. A grayish bg makes me want to adjust the contrast (pic bgs on a website make my eyes crazy). Otherwise I like the look - just stating my preference on color schemes

Grandma,
Awwww....thanks!
Jameejb,
I’m so glad you like the forms. I confess I haven’t used them as much since my little guy arrived (he’s 3 months old), but I’m gradually getting back in the habit. The weekly form has been my most helpful one…
By the way, I LOVE that graphic on your blog: adults:2 kids:3 game over. That’s hilarious. Where did you find that?
It looks like your kids are about the same ages as mine: 5,3,3 months?
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment!
Euphrony,
Funny, because the white page bg with gray text bg was bothering me. Does it make it difficult for you to read? Would you prefer more contrast between the page bg and the text bg? Thanks for your input E.

No, its not hard to read. Like I said, it just makes me want to reach for the monitor controls. Perhaps more contrast between the page bg and the text bg would look good. I guess it is the presenter/speaker in me that wants to show thinks with maximum contrast for easy legibility; subtlies are nice, though, just not for a 20-minute slide presentation.

Actually, I had to click through from Google Reader just to take a look around. Looks nice. But I guess my point, not to be too much of a downer, is I don’t usually read any blog at the blogsite itself, only through Google Reader. The only times I go to the blogsite from Reader is when:
1) The blog doesn’t send a full feed (annoying, and I don’t stay subscribed to many blogs that do that).
2) The blog doesn’t send embedded pics or links in their feed (and yours doesn’t, BTW - I have to click through every day to get the link to the day’s 40 Day Fast post).
3) I want to make a comment, like this!
My two cents.

Jim,
And a valuable 2 cents it is…
I’ve fixed the feed. Let me know if there are any issues you encounter with it. Thanks for letting me know.
I don’t usually visit site’s either. I just read blogs in my feedreader. It saves SO much time. At least in theory. In reality I just keep track of that many more blogs…
Partial feeds are a pet peeve of mine as well.
Thanks for taking the time to comment!

My one suggestion: change “entreprenaur” to “entrepreneur.” Sorry, it’s the English major in me.

Doh!
Thanks Erin....

Oops! I can’t see post title anymore, as they fade into the bg.

Looking good, Kat. For the record, I’m at the library today (DSL at home turned off in anticipation of my upcoming move), and your site renders nicely at 800x600 rez on IE6. Most sites any more fall completely apart at that rez.

I like it. Very slick, clean, polished looking. No problem with the fonts or color contrast.
I still can’t get the Smileys to work right, though.
Er, I should clarify—I can put smileys into my comments with the right combination of characters, and the “Smileys” link below the text box opens a new window full of nifty smileys to choose from. But when I click on one of them, nothing happens.
Jul 24, 07 at 08:58 pm
The blog titles are looking better now (I’m guessing it was an issue of the visited link being a different color that faded into the bg). BTW, I have the same smileys issue as C-ham does. Also, using the character combo allows you to put the smiley in, but not in-line with the text (starts a new line).
Jul 25, 07 at 03:58 pm
can i do smileys? (void(0);
gulp) I’ll see what happens.
Also, K, I like the new tweaks you’ve done on this look… it warms it up a bit. I, personally liked the old look better… this one looks too… geometric. I guess that’s what I’m going for. But adding the shading has given it some warmth and depth.
Anyway, I hope you are not offended by this comment. I see from the list above that I’m the only one who commented negatively about the new look so, clearly it’s a great look. What’s important is that you like it and keep the posts coming!!! (especially the posts with pics of your cutie kids void(0);
grin )
Now to see if my smiley face experiment worked…
ps LOVE YOU! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU SO SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lilia, I also preferred the old look, but this one is fine, too.
After all that talk about google reader, I went and signed up and I’m in love.
