Good stuff!!!

So Kat, what if you do all he says, but don’t have the time or knowhow to “market” yourself?

So you hire a marketing company or a managing company?

Good question Ryan. I think it depends on the variety of skills, talents, and interests that are available in your band. It also depends on the amount of money you have available to hire someone.

If there is someone in your band that handles all of your business affairs well and you just need a marketing spark, then just go for a marketing company. But if you need more business advice and industry experience, then a management company might be for you.

If you have the time and inclination, though, I always think it’s best to at least get your feet wet in all aspects of the business, so I recommend taking a stab at doing the marketing yourself so you have a better idea of what you need. Do you need just online marketing or just media marketing or just radio marketing etc…

Thoughts?
