Create A Music Promotion Schedule

Dedicate a particular day of the week or time of day to promote your music. Then make a master list of people that you need to send press kits to, places you need to call to book gigs or whatever promotional tasks you need to accomplish.

The 45/15 Cycle

On your “Music Promotion Day/Time,” sit down with your computer, a phone and your lists and set a timer for 45 minutes. Churn through your list, sending press kits, making phone calls etc until the timer goes off. Then set your timer for 15 minutes and do something relaxing or fun. Repeat the 45/15 cycle until the time you’ve set aside is up.

Keep Your “Pipeline” Full

Slow and steady wins the race. By having a regular time set aside for promotion, you’ll be able to gradually keep your “pipeline” full of promotional exposure and gigs.
