(I couldn’t decide on a title for this post, so I used all of them at the same time.)

The other day I got an email asking if I’d like to do an interview with Cindy Morgan.

Um...let me think about that.

Do I want to interview one of my all time favorite artists who also took home two Dove awards this year, including Songwriter of the Year (She wrote Point of Grace’s hit - How You Live)?

Hmmm....

Huh.....

Mmmm....

Well....

How do I put this gently?

A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y!!!

So now I have to decide if I want to do an email interview or a phone interview.

Here is my quandry. I am a dork. That is a fact that doesn’t always come across immediately over email. But over the phone? It’s unavoidable.

But how cool would it be to chat with Cind (that’s what I call now, since we’re BFF’s… you know)?

So, I’m going to take a vote. What do you all think? Phone or email?

If you chicken out and don’t talk with her like a normal person, I’ll never let you live it down.

I love your comments, cach, they always crack me up…

And I love your blogging, Kat.  You rock.

Definitely phone, Kat.  I doubt that you’ll be a dork but, even if you are, I’m sure she’ll understand.  Remember “Cind” is just a normal person like you and I, so she probably has her dorky moments as well.

How about both?  E-mail first, and get some responses in writing.  Then you can talk to her and expand on what you had e-mailed?

conversation_bubble  Brad Ruggles declared on  05/09/08  at  08:11 AM:

Yeah, you’ve gotta do phone. Can you record the interview and post it?

Even better would be a video chat! See if she has a webcam and then record a split-screen interview.

I’m pretty sure you’re no dorkier than the rest of us. Talk to the woman.

conversation_bubble  Nate declared on  05/09/08  at  11:37 AM:

Phone, of course!

conversation_bubble  Kevin declared on  05/09/08  at  12:23 PM:

I’m with e., any chance to both e-mail and talk with her would be great and help cement your “BFF” status with Cind’.  Looking forward to your interview.  I absolutely LOVE her song “Make Us One” from Exodus which of course we all have as Rocketown fans.

conversation_bubble  Amy declared on  05/09/08  at  02:20 PM:

phone...that way you can ask follow up and get clarification..I understand your hesitancy, though.

conversation_bubble   declared on  05/09/08  at  04:58 PM:

Gotta be the phone Kat, come on!  You will regret passing up that opportunity.

"Grace’s hit”

WATCH the cussing, Kat.

conversation_bubble  Kat declared on  05/10/08  at  08:36 AM:

Euphrony,
That would be cool. I don’t want to take up too much of her time though, so I think I’ll do the phone interview and then transcribe it for the blog (as well as post the audio - once I figure out how to record it.)

Brad,
Unfortunately, my iBook doesn’t have a built in iSight camera....and I don’t really want to buy a camera for the occasion. That would be cool though.

Seth,
Ha!!!

Phone, most definitely.  Take a deep breath and do it.  It’ll be great.  It’ll be more personal and you won’t be disappointed.

Ahh....phone for sure! She is hilarious!
