Artist Blogs

* More Artist Blogs *

imageA new music site has been all over Digg and the blogosphere. The site is called iJigg. It’s essentially an audio version of YouTube.

You can upload a song or multiple songs and your fans can listen to it via a nice flash interface. They can even add your song to their blog, MySpace page, Facebook profile or website.

This is a great alternative for getting your music out there for fans to promote without actually giving away the mp3 for free (although I recommend that as well).

I don’t have any recorded songs (that I would let anyone listen to...), so hear is some audio of a discussion I had with my 2 and 4 year old recently about whether our minivan can technically be called a car or not.

I think that the viral nature of allowing and providing a means for fans to share your music is vital to an independent artists success. iJigg could be an excellent tool in your promotional toolkit.

Wow! I’m floored by this audio:)

This is a part of iJigg that is not talked about much but really, we won’t mind more audio such as this. We want a fair mix of songs, but audio such as this will make iJigg more dynamic and addictive.

Cheers,

Thanks for taking the time to comment Zaid. From what I’ve tested so far iJigg seems to be a quality site with some great music. I look forward to seeing it grow!
