Merry Christmas to me (and you).

Sweet.  I got it yesterday.  I love Cindy Morgan.  Of course I love Amy Grant too, but if you are my age and raised in a Christian home, that’s a little like saying, “I love not being beaten.” It kinda doesn’t really need to be said.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before that I grew up a complete Amy Grant dork-fan. I mean, I didn’t listen to anything else until I was in the 7th grade. I had t-shirts, cardboard cutouts, every cd, tape and record and anything else that had her name on it.

I grew out of the dorky phase, but have always loved her music. When I was 25, my job a KSBJ afforded my the opportunity to meet her. What did I say? Apparently I reverted to dorkdome because the first thing out of my mouth was, “Hi, I’ve been listening to your music since I was born.” While I literally had, how insulting must that have been? To have a grown woman say that you to? Ugh. That’s just about equal to saying, “Hi, you’re a whole lot older than me.”

Dork.
