A New Look and Geocaching!
You may see some wonkiness around here. I’ve transferred this blog from a content management system called Expression Engine over to WordPress.
I don’t need all the power that EE offered and WP is just so much easier to update. I can even post from my phone.
So, expect lots of frivolity here.
I know you’re so excited about all this. Calm down. It’s embarrassing.
Geocaching
In other news, we went geocaching for the first time yesterday. I was ridiculously excited when we found our first one.
And here it is in all it’s micro glory.
Have you ever been geocaching?

Love WordPress! I know there are more powerful CMS’s out there, but for my needs, WP gets the job done pretty well. And it’s quite extensible, thanks to the community of developers that has risen up around it. Love the tractor feed printer theme here.

Joyce – it was TOTALLY fun. I highly recommend it!
Rick – Yes. It’s simple, easy and powerful enough for what I need it to do. I found that with a more powerful cms, I focused less on writing and more on tweaking the techie stuff.
Diana – geocaching is like going on a treasure hunt via gps coordinates. We used an iPhone app that is linked to a big geocaching website. Basically, people hide little treasures, either a small box with trinkets in it or just a little container with paper in it. They then enter the gps coordinates on a website and others can go hunting for it. When they find it they either take a trinket and leave a trinket or they sign the paper and date it.
I think you and John would really like it. We just decided to open up the app while we were in the parking lot at the YMCA and there was a geocache right in the area, so we went hunting. We were ridiculously excited to find it.

Like the new format Kat. I have been reading about Geocaching, but have not done one yet. I bought a GPS a while back and am still learning to use it. I have never had this much trouble with technology before.
