Lots O’ Free Music – JJ Heller, Matt Wertz and Christy Nockels
Free Christmas Music from JJ Heller
Speaking of JJ Heller, she is now giving away her Christmas EP along with a demo copy of the song Your Hands.
Now because of my personal email ettiquette issues, I can’t say the album is ENTIRELY free. If you’ve been around here for long, yes, we’ve had this discussion before.
You will need to hand over 5 friends email addresses in order to get the album for free. I highly recommend getting their permission first.
In any case, it’s a great Christmas EP. I particularly like the song Wake the World.
Free Live Album from Matt Wertz
In other musical news, Matt Wertz is giving away his live album for “free.” All you need to do is enter your email address and/or Twitter about the album. Get it here.
Nothing gives me the warm fuzzies more than being able to tell you all about great free music. Enjoy!
Christy Nockels CD Giveaway
Since JJ and Matt are feeling so generous, I thought today would be a good day to give away another CD. (I actually have quite a few cd’s from some great artists I need to give to you all. Be sure to stay tuned…)
Let’s play a game my friend Mandy plays on her blog. She calls it Whatever Wednesday, but since I’m rebellious, I’m doing it on Thursday and my game name won’t alliterate. Let’s call it “Answer A Question And Then Ask A Different Question That The Next Commenter Will Answer And Then They’ll Ask A Different Question…And So On.”
Clearly, I rock at making up catchy game titles.
In case the game title didn’t communicate the game well enough, here’s how it works – I’ll ask a question. The first commenter will answer it and then ask another question (about anything, just keep it clean). The next commenter will answer that question and then ask one of their own. Make sense?
I think it’s a fun way to get to know one another. And I’ll pick one comment randomly to win the Christy Nockels CD. Sound good?
Let The Game Begin
Here’s my question:
What was the last restaurant you ate at?

We shop all yr long and incorporate it into our regular budget. this yr we are continuing our tradition of pjs Christmas Eve & starting a new one of three presents on Christmas Day to represent the three gifts from the Wiseman for Jesus.
Maybe more than you asked, opps.

I wasn’t feeling good at school and the teacher had me call my mom from the phone on his desk. I hardly got through saying hello when “I lost my lunch” (if yah get my drift) all over the phone infront of the whole class. It acctually ended up breaking the phone. Years later I was babysitting a kid with the same teacher and she said the teacher said they couldn’t use his phone if they didn’t feel good and proceeded to explain how I broke it
anyways…
My question: Which Old Testament Bible character would you want to meet and why?

I would like to meet Jacob and find out what it was like to actually wrestle with God all night. I would just have to work out first in case he decides to try it out on me. Guy’s gotta be tough to tussle with the Almighty.
My question – Halloween; Neat Holiday or strange waste of candy?

I like Halloween. I think it’s fun to get dressed up and be a little crazy with your friends. Plus, I got to see my baby girl in a ladybug outfit this year and it was just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
My question~Did you have an imaginary friend when you were a kid?

No imaginary friend here, but my husband’s family tells funny stories about his three imaginary friends.
What is your favorite zoo animal?
Texas in Africa

I HATE zoos! They creep me out. But if I had to pick one animal, it would probably be an elephant.
If money and time were no object, where in the world would you want to take a vacation?

I would love to go to Fiji. When my husband and I were boyfriend and girlfriend we always said we’d go there on our honeymoon……
-What is one goofy song you always have to sing along with, embarrassed or not?

Well, I have a three year old and I’m pretty sure Barney qualifies as goofy. So, to answer the question, if my daughter starts to sing a Barney song, there is nothing in me that can stop myself from singing along. It’s sad that I know all of the words. Clearly, we need a new show.
Kat, I love you. Not trying to butter you up at all. Just wanted to say it. Hey, how about “Thoughtful Thursdays” or if you want to go the opposite direction, “Thoughtless Thursdays.” Just a thought.
My question:
If you could only have one thing left in the world to eat, what would it be and why?

It would be cheese, because it tastes so good and there’s just so much you can do with it… Cube it, slice it, shred it, melt it, pull it into strings.
I’m going to go get some right now!
- If you could have any animal as a pet, which one would you pick?

Sorry, so obviously I didn’t read the whole post!
I would say a dog, I guess (not much of an animal person).
When do you start listening to Christmas music?
