Sick of Being Sick
(This picture cracks me up and grosses me out all at the same time.)
Is it just me or is there more sickness going around right now than normal? It seems like EVERYONE I know is sick or has been sick in the past month.
Granted, it could be my stage of life. I have 3 little ones in school and at times I feel like sending my kids to school is about as healthy as the picture above. It’s building their immune system. I know. But in the last month we’ve had:
3 cases of stomach flu
2 colds
1 swine flu
Enough, already!
So, is it just me? Have you or your family been healthy or sick so far this fall?

We’ve been healthy. Only 1 son sick with a flu that produced no fever or runs.
Last year I battled Ukus all year long & my kids were home-schooled. I was so over it that I shaved 2 of my daughter’s head to finally get rid of those things!

We’ve been okay, but seems like everyone out there is getting sick. I’m trying to get my rest, drink lots of water, eat my fruits, exercise, wash my hands, and avoid other sick people. I don’t like when people go out when they’re sick. I seem kids with snot coming out of their noses at storytime. =\ And having worked at a childcare center before, I’ve seen plenty of parents bring in their sick kids. =\ And teachers come in sick. =\ Hope everyone is getting better.

My Little One has had only the nasty snot syndrome, but we know of 3 confirmed cases of swine flu within our small circle of friends.
My hubby, who teaches at the local middle school, said he has at least 3-5 students absent in each of his classes. Yes, it’s going around!

I’m so sad we haven’t gotten together more since we moved. Hopefully, we’ve had our share of sickness and can now interact with the rest of the world again.

Two right now, and one maybe with swine flu. I go to work everyday with 500 middle schoolers, so I’m just wondering when my number gets picked.

We haven’t had the wave of sickness yet… My boys have had a cold that seems to go on and on and on.
At least their immunities are getting built up.

Ewww!!! I dread my kids getting that. It was common in the area where I grew up, not sure about the area we live in now or the school we go to. Shudder.

We had H1N1 in the house last week. We always have something when this time of year comes. It’s like we have to kick off the season with a bang, then we get healthy. Hoping this year is the same.

We’re the same way – ever since we had children. I used to love the Fall, but now I’m always a bit leery of it because it’s usually accompanied by sickness.I’m hoping that as they get older it will taper off a good bit…
