Catching fireflies. Sleeping in. Lounging by the pool.
Aren’t these the things of summer? Isn’t summer supposed to be slow, lazy and relaxing?
Apparently, not around these parts.
As most of you know, we’ve been house hunting. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity. Packing, repairing, deep cleaning, and searching for a house.
On Sunday, we finally found a house and put an offer on it. Yesterday they countered and today Jimmy plans to counter-counter.
Can’t. Handle. Negotiations. I feel ulcers forming as we speak.
My Crazy Summer
But we should know sometime today whether or not we will get the house. And if we DO get it, my crazy summer will be kicked up a couple notches. Here’s what the next few weeks would contain:
1. Mother/Daughter trip to Kentucky – I’m taking my 5 year old on her first plane ride to visit my brother and sister in law in the Blue Grass State.
2. Camp Counselor – a week after the Kentucky trip, I’ll be a camp counselor for my oldest daughters first trip to summer camp.
3. Travel – AND one or all of us will be visiting – Odessa, Texas – Carlsbad, New Mexico – Lincolnshire, Illinois – Austin, Texas
4. House Prep – Of course, we’ll also be selling our house, planning renovations for the new house, packing and getting ready for school to start.
Whew. Talk about a busy month! Sounds fun yet exhausting.

My summer, unfortunately, has been clouded by exhaustion. It’s been a lazy summer, but my body’s not been working right, so I’m still worn out.
I go to the doctor on Thursday to see if she can help.

My summer…a few weeks have been so crazy, but it is seeming to go in waves. This week is lazy, last week was crazy. So it depends.

Our summer has been just fun! I don’t schedule much, but we stay quite busy (swimming at the pool and lake, water parks, playgrounds, picnics, trips to the library and the science museum, and of course meeting up with friends to play)! It’s just the way I like it. Spontaneous and full.

I taught a summer class in June, but in July I’ve just been sick and have helped out with my church’s children’s music camp this week, which has been a lot of fun. Then I’ll be looking for a job. Fun times.

My summer is the same old same old! I am going to Comic Con in a few weeks and helping my folks move but otherwise, just surviving the heat. Enjoy the craziness, Kat!
And no need to enter me

My summer’s been in between crazy and lazy. Some friends and my wife had babies and my sister-in-law is getting married, but other than that, things are pretty normal. Just the usual projects, laying tile, building fences, patching roofs, maintaining cars, butchering animals, planning for the next school year.

Sounds great! I am excited for you!
My summer months have had themes… June was a month of non stop company… July will be a couple of overnight trips with my family and one to visit friends. All the in between days have been lazy days to play outside with the hose, ride bikes, and eating fresh fruits and veggies.
I love summer!
