Where Has This Been All My Adult Life?
I don’t like coffee. There. I said it.
But before you make me turn in my grownup card, let me tell you that I do actually drink coffee on occasion.
Because I have three small kids. (Who are wonderful, but) Sometimes, the only thing that keeps me from losing my ever loving mind is caffeine.
So, I’m pretty sure there was a heavenly light shining down on Aisle 14 at the grocery store today. Complete with angelic singing and pixie dust.
Because I discovered Hot Cocoa with Caffeine! Really. Where has this been my whole life?

Hi Kat,
I know you are looking for Caffine…but, I’ve had to cut down on the Caffine since being preggo with #4 (and believe me…I am a coffee person) But, I’ve switched to Hot Cocoa at night…and I’m always looking to SAVE, anyway, since I know you shop at HEB here in tx. I thought I’d share–the “HIll Country” Brand of Hot Cocoa w/ Marshmallows tastes the same (if not better) than Swiss Miss–and I swore by Swiss Miss forever! HC is way cheaper–but I don’t think they have it “with caffine”.
Looks like you’ll have to pay for that!

I don’t know when it came out, but I don’t think it’s terribly recent. A friend of mine already knew about it (and didn’t tell me!).
If you can’t get it at your store you might be able to get it online.

That’s a great tip. My kids like hot cocoa. We usually give them Ovaltine, but they like regular hot cocoa too. And sometimes I’ like to have some at night. Thanks!

I am so glad to hear I am not alone in my distaste of coffee!!! Of course, I love how it smells just can’t drink it. I blame my parents though, they made my sister and I make coffee for them when we were growing up and we both hated doing it–don’t know whey we didn’t making it but we just didn’t.
I’m not big into caffeine either since it is addictive but totally understand the need for some sort of stimulant at times!

First, be sure you don’t accidentally give this to the kids. That, my friend, would be trouble.
Second, I detest coffee. I hate so much as walking down the coffee aisle at the store because the smell permeates the air.
I drink plenty of sodas and water. I also love hot teas. Currently, looking up at my desk at work, I three boxes of tea from Twinnings (Darjeeling, Irish Breakfast, and Earl Grey), one from Bigelow (Constant Comment, which has a lovely citrus aroma), and one obx of Vietnamese tea that a friend gave me but I’ve not been able to drink because I don’t have an infuser.

I don’t like coffee either. I drink it when I really need the caffeine and then only with LOTS of fun flavored creamer (so as to hide the actual taste of the coffee).
That hot chocolate sounds brilliant!

I am a coffee girl!
My absolute favorite in French Vanilla Donut Bank coffee with cream and sweet and low. You can only get that in Evansville, IN. But man… it’s amazing.
At home, I drink Sam’s fair trade breakfast blend with some Great Value French Vanilla non-dairy creamer.
It’s extra good with Vanilla biscotti dipped in it.

For me, it’s a Pepsi thing. And when I can get it out of a fountain instead of a bottle at home, it’s just bliss!
I know what you mean about the caffeine thing and the kids. Just give me a Pepsi around 10am and the day will be fine.

I hate coffee, too! I do like tea, but after I moved back from Congo, I gave up caffiene. It’s amazing how much better I slept. I slipped back into the one-diet-coke-a-day habit in the fall and it made a huge (negative) difference. I’m trying to get back on the no-caffiene wagon now.

I love the way coffee smells, but I hate the way it tastes. I’m pretty much a water drinker all the time, with the occasional Coke or Cherry Coke thrown in for variety. I don’t do that much, though, because I don’t like to drink my calories. Hot cocoa is so tasty, though!

I could give an entire discourse on why I love coffee. My friends and i have a “fellowship of the bean” accountability group and everything. My favorite coffee drink is a Red Eye, which is a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso. Delicious. If I had it my way, our firstborn would have been christened with coffee. I’m glad you found something you enjoy!

I love both coffee and tea but after a I quit working at Sbux a few years ago and went through withdrawal, I decided I had to cut back so I do coffee every other day. I’ve been mixing Swiss Miss with instant coffee for years so this product is a godsend.

tea drinker all the way. Although I just love some coffee from time to time with my milk and sugar. that’s how little coffee ends up in the cup after I’ve added the other stuff! I adore the smell of it, but can’t handle how it treats me!
Stash tea is my favorite- Chai and Earl Grey are the bestest.
I’ve been loving this recipe I made for homemade hot cocoa though. once you have it you can never go back to the “other stuff”. I”m pretty sure i posted it once before on my blog if you’d like it- the best hot cocoa mix, or something like that. sooooo rich and delish.

Right now I’m drinking Mello Rojo from Colombia, S.A. Authentic Colombian coffee purchased in that beautiful country is amazing! I will admit however that somehow it always tastes better there. It must be the water?!?

It’s all about cafe con leche for me. I grew up drinking coffee and there are rumors that my mom used to give me cafe con leche in a bottle (mostly milk of course) so I don’t feel too guilty…it’s borderline healthy I think

I LOVE coffee. I can’t have caffeine, so it’s decaf for me. No sweetner and no flavored coffee though. Just cream and the darker the roast, the better. I only like tea when I’m sick. I love hot cocoa and when I drink it, I have a can of whipped cream nearby. Sip, squirt til the cocoa’s gone.

Me too! I think hot cocoa does have caffeine in it! The cocoa bean has it, right? I’d actually really like to know if anyone has this information…
Anyway, I became a coffee drinker in Germany – love it now! But I gave up caffeine after lunch and it’s amazing how much better I sleep at night. If I have a cup of hot cocoa in the evening, it keeps me awake just as if I had had coffee… see? Caffeine!
But, I’m glad you found this Kat… I know what you mean about mornings. And I don’t even have kids!!

I hate Starbucks, but love a Grande White Chocolate Mocha any day of the week. Oh, Medical Tea for calming, it’s actually good! My husband hates it. Earl Grey hot tea, never cold. Ghiardelli hot chocolate is my fave on that front.

seriously… where has it been all my life too. i’ve never liked coffee either but was convinced i would when i reached my 30s! i’ve recently added green tea in the mornings… but hot chocolate with caffeine might replace my green tea! yum!!
