Coming To My Rescue

Yesterday, wasn’t an award winning day for me.

My 4 year old had been up a lot the night before and I was pretty tired. Towards the end of a long, weary day, I got a comment on a recent post that was “less than encouraging.”

Based on the kind of mood I was in and the day I’d had, I could have been pretty bummed about it. I could have taken it to heart instead of to God.

Ideally, when I receive a criticism, I “try” to:

1) Pray about it and submit it to God

2) Let Him reveal the truths in it that I need to work on

3) Forget about the rest.

But if I’m having a bad day, it’s easy for me to just throw a good old fashioned pity party.

Yesterday was one of those days. But I didn’t throw a pity party or get upset. Why?

Because of Christina Scott. Christina is a “relatively” new blog friend and before I even saw the “less than encouraging” comment, she replied to the commenter with incredibly gracious and wise words.

Then she went on to encourage me, just in case the previous comment had bothered me.

So, on this Positive Post Tuesday, I just want to say thanks to Christina for coming to my rescue and crashing my pity party.

I love it when friends have your back in the blog world. For whatever reason it always comes as a surprise to me. It is nice to know that friends care about you in person and on a blog.

Thanks for posting this.

Today and yesterday have been like that for me. Little things adding up to a very frustrating experience. None of it major in the grand scheme of things, but just enough to get me irritated.
