This Week 10 Years Ago
I was putting the finishing touches on our wedding plans.
Can you say S-T-R-E-S-S?
It worked, though. We got married. And next Thursday, Jimmy and I will celebrate our 10 year anniversary!
Look for lots of sappy, cheesy posts this week.
Question: How long have you been married and where did you go on your honeymoon? If you’re not married yet, where would you like to go on your honeymoon?

Hey, thanks SO MUCH for the tips on the RSS sidebar feed. I got it up and running with minimal hassle. And that says a lot for somebody as technically challenged as myself!
BTW – congrats on 10 years! My wife and I celebrated #10 last year…

we are going on 10 years this june, too!
a really generous family gave us an amazing trip to Maui for our honeymoon.
it was DREAMY.
we were both 21 and dirt poor so we could have never afforded something amazing like that.
we felt blessed and still do…we talk about that trip often.
congrats to you guys!

We’re going on 6 years now. For the honeymoon, we went to a timeshare in Gatlinburg, TN. Too bad it was early in the year and most of the touristy stuff was closed.
By God’s grace, we’ve had a few more extensive “honeymoons” since then. There’s no rule that you can only have one!

We’ve been married seven years (eight in July). For our honeymoon, we spent two days in the Black Hills of South Dakota exploring the sites like Mount Rushmore and Wall Drug. Then we drove 14 hours North into the middle of nowhere, Canada–where we met up with my husband’s parents and his brother’s family, oh, and some old family friends, so we could camp in a tent and spend a week fishing!
Not the most romantic story, I know, but it was sure a lot of fun!

Kat, congratulations on 10 years! I know I’m looking forward to celebrating that with my hubby. We’ve been married for 3 years now. We went to Colorado on our honeymoon. My favorite story of the trip was getting to the cabin deep in the mountains. It was snowing and we were just settling in. He turns to me and says, “Let’s build a fire.” Sure…I then proceed to start making dinner (we’d been on the road all day and were looking forward to just relaxing) Long pause from husband…confusing looks…5 mins later there is still no fire…Hubby turns to me and says, “Honey…I don’t know how to build a fire…can you teach me…?” (Insert embarrassed puppy dog face from husband) So much for all his boy scout days!

Stu and I are going on 7 years this coming August. We went to a lovely bed and breakfast owned by friends I’ve known for a very long time…it was great!! Near a beach and tiny little towns…we had a great honeymoon.

Congratulations on 10 Years, Kat and Jimmy!
We’ve been married 6 years, it will be 7 in June.
Sadly, we don’t really have any honeymoon story to tell. My wife’s father lost his battle with cancer within 2 weeks of our wedding, and so we were dealing with other things. We’ve always planned to do some sort of big trip to make up for it, perhaps for an anniversary, but one thing or another (especially finances) has prevented it.
We have two different “dream vacations” in mind—one would be to Ireland, and the other to Africa to meet our Compassion kids. Lord willing, we hope to do one or both in the next several years.

21 years and counting! Looks like I’m an old fogie(sp?) here (I got your back Truevyne!…um…not that you’re old, just married longer than most in the comments). We spent a lovely week in Myrtle Beach, SC.

#4 this June. We honeymooned in Vegas. Well, that’s not true. We woke up married in Vegas and just decided to stay together. Since we were already there, we just hung out and gambled for a week. I think it was a week… So does that count as a honeymoon? Wait a sec… I might have told that story wrong…

Mrs. E and I will hit 12 years this August. It looks like we’ll get to celebrate this year with a trip to Monterey, California paid for by my work (going to a conference and taking her with me).
We honeymooned in Canada – Calgary, then over to Banff and Jasper. Airfare was free and 1st class, from my father-in-law who has a grotesquely huge bank of frequent flier miles.

We’ve been married 7 years. We went to Lake Tahoe for our honeymoon. Funny thing, we were only 20 which turned out to be too young to rent a car. But we enjoyed taking advantage of the free shuttles provided by the casinos!

Congrats on 10 years! These days that is something to celebrate, Christian or not.
The lovely Katherine and I hit 25 years this past October. Her dad paid for our honeymoon in Cancun. It was a great trip for us. I had never been out of the country before that.
One night while there, my bride was sitting in my lap on a bus and we were looking all in love, and an old lady on the bus asked us if we were brother and sister. Huh? I would never stick my toungue in my sister’s mouth for sure.
We were really young then, and it was magical. Glad I prayed alot before I got married, and I’m glad God put us together.

I have been married for almost 9 months, and we went to Chattanooga on our honeymoon. It’s one of my favorite cities and Stephen had never been, so we did all the great touristy stuff.

Our 7th is coming up in June. We spent 3 days at Point Arena, a quiet and quaint Pacific coastal spot. Loved it!
Looking forward to celebrating our 10th like you guys!
