Me and BooMama and Swag

Lauren, over at the BloggedIn Network, recently interviewed me for their site. Not so much because they think I’m a great blogger, but mostly because of my reknowned procrastinating skills.

Anyway, it’s my first ever interview and I think it’s kinda fun.

How cool is that? Did you notice that my interview is (or was when I wrote this) right next to BooMama’s? You’re not going to see that everyday.

Swag: Yea or Nay

Oh, and I’ve been approached by several different companies who want to give stuff away here on TSLOK.

A couple record labels said they want to start sending me some items (we’ll see…) and then a few girly clothing and craft businesses have contacted me as well.

Sooo….my question to you all is:

What do you think about me doing more giveaways?

Since everything sent my way so far has been mom or music related, I thought I’d do the giveaways on Mondays and Thursdays in conjunction with Music Monday and Parent’s University.

So, what do you think?

Annoying or Fun? Yea or Nay?

#1- Next to BooMama?  You are quite the stuff.  I’m proud to blog-know you. smile

#2- I dig giveaways.  I’ve done one and it was a huge hit.  Have a couple of others on the way.  But yeah- I think it’s a great idea- for you as the host and for your readers.

Hope all is well.  smile

Great interview……

can I print out that quote “We can change diapers and the world at the same time.”?

Incredible stuff!

Oh, I think the giveaways would be cool, too!

Congrats on being famous!  Our esteemed host, famous… YYEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!

Giveaways are very cool.  You just might find out exactly how many readers you have, and lets face it, those slow days would be much more fun with something to give away.

Nice interview!  You’re famous!  smile

And I say yea on the giveaways.  It’s fun for those who like it, and for those who don’t–it wouldn’t be the primary thing you blog about.

No to swim upstream, here, but I’m not a huge fan of the giveaways.  I read blogs for personal interaction, an exchange of thoughts and ideas, and I get frustrated when I go to a blog and have to rummage through the giveaways to find substance.  I’m not opposed to giveaways – and I’ve done a couple of small ones, self-sponsored – but when it is a regular part of the blog I start tuning it (the blog) out.

Just my two cents.  It’s your blog, of course, so do what you like.  If you think you can fit it in like you want, then do it.  I’ll probably even enter a few.

Giveaways are great!  They must be cool to recognize how cool you and your blog are.  Sorry (well not too much, because I kept it.) to those who are offended by dangling participles… grin I dangle them sometimes.

I did kind of a lot of giveaways last month and worked really hard to try to make my blog about more than that.  But if you have set days and work it into your regular posting, I think it will work beautifully.
