Fun Music Monday: The Best TV Show Theme Songs

This Music Monday is a Fun Music Monday.

Fun Music Mondays are the same as Music Mondays except they have a fun theme.

Hence, Fun Music Monday. (I realize not all people are blessed with such a wellspring of creativity.)

Kat, I have lurked on your blog for a while now, via Shaun, Brody, and Kristin.  This post is the best one I have seen!  It made my Monday morning.  I am “walking on air.”

What, no one likes the Saved by the Bell theme song?  Now, that’s a classic. smile

Sorry mine’s not TV Theme Music.  If I went that way, I’d probably choose the original (1st season) theme to Monk.  Very remniscent of Django Reinhardt.  The guy who wrote it, Jeff Beal, won an Emmy for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music for the song – just a few weeks after they had dropped it to be replaced by a Randy Newman penned theme.

No sooner did you say “Best TV Theme Song” than I thought of “The Greatest American Hero.” I used to use that song in auditions up in NYC.  I got more jobs and callbacks off of it than any other piece in my rep.  Love that stuff.

I chose a variation on a theme song… Beverly Hillbillies, the Weird Al version.
