Diamonds Are So Last Year
A few weeks ago I had a busy, stressful and all around difficult couple of days, so my sweet husband did what any thoughtful husband would do.
He gave me a 1GB, 200pin SODIMM stick of RAM.
Isn’t it gorgeous?
My husband is so romantic.
When you have a rough week, what sort of things cheer you up?

Your husband must really love you. Crucial, no less!
As for me, I’d settle for a couple of my boys to go through the whole day without calling each other an idiot, or worse.

My hubby surprised me with a bicycle last week. I’ve only been hinting for about 5 years that I would love to have a bike. I came home and he was in the back yard (apparently hoping I would see the bike) and I watered the flowers and asked how his day was, and asked why was he staring at me. Then we left to go workout, and upon returning home, I looked in the backyard and said, “Whose bike is that?….Wait! Is that for ME?” He smiled and said, “That’s why I was staring at you.” I said, “Was it here before?” Yes it was, I just didn’t notice. I then hopped on my bike and left for a one hour bike ride!

Rick,
Mmmm…a bicker-free day. I think that’s on every parent’s wish list.
Euphrony,
Isn’t it though?

Cristy,
How fun! I’m amazed he waited for you to see it! That’s really cute.

Flowers cheer me up. Not special expensive roses or anything. I like daisy’s and gerber daisy’s. I also like wildflowers. My girls can pick out some amazing flowers for their momma! One of my favorite baby shower gifts was a vase with flowers in it!
And also the gift card that came with it too!

Kat, you crack me up! I’m not a diamond girl either, but I don’t really understand all that much about ram either! But I think it’s wonderful that your husband is so thoughtful, and just knows exactly what to give you.
Not to sound too “sunday school,” but honestly lately when I’ve been feeling super stressed, I just read some verses from the bible, and I feel better, it kind of weirds me out actually.
I like receiving flowers too though, because I love just looking at them, I’ll put them in places that I see often.

OMGOODNESS… he knowz you SO well. That is the best gift ever.
he he
So does that mean you got diamonds last year???
Really all he has to to do is rip apart a computer and string it’s guts on leather or dangliess and you’d be set by way of jewelry???… am I right???
Maybe something like THAT could be your new nose ring
One time I was blue so my sweet husband celebrated my birthday for an entire week!

Seuss,
No, the only diamond he has bought me was my engagement ring. He knows that if he bought me expensive jewelry I’d take it to the hock it at a pawn shop so that I could buy gadgets at Best Buy…
I do wear a necklace that looks like a computer part…
A week long birthday! That’s fun.

” I do wear a necklace that looks like a computer part…”
If I wore a neclace with camera parts it would NOT look cool.
You pull it off with trendiness, flair and style. so cool.
I want a nose ring too btw

I had a friend in college who had a tie that was a strip of film negatives. The clothes it wore it with actually made it work without being totally goofy.
