Conviction – Courtesy of Mother Teresa

If you know me, you know I love great quotes. Here are a few from Mother Teresa that I ran across recently. Amazing…and very convicting.

“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one. “

“If you judge people, you have no time to love them. “

“Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.”

“Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.”

“Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush, anxious for greater developments and greater riches and so on, so that children have very little time for their parents. Parents have very little time for each other, and in the home begins the disruption of peace of the world.”

“Intense love does not measure, it just gives.”

“Words which do not give the light of Christ increase the darkness.”

“It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.”

“Jesus said love one another. He didn’t say love the whole world.”

“Many people mistake our work for our vocation. Our vocation is the love of Jesus.”

“The success of love is in the loving – it is not in the result of loving. Of course it is natural in love to want the best for the other person, but whether it turns out that way or not does not determine the value of what we have done.”

“I want you to be concerned about your next door neighbor. Do you know your next door neighbor?”

“I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world.”

“I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.”

Did any of these hit a chord with you?

Such a beautiful statement.  I don’t know that I could ever do such a thing that she makes so simple.

Kat – There’s not any one in particular that I can single out. I love them all. Awesome stuff.

“It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.”

As a parent, these two are my favorites.
