I’m So Proud
While many of you have blogs ranking in Technorati’s upper echelon of blogdom, my humble little blog has been sitting on the edge of 100,000 for weeks now. To be specific, it’s been at 110,000ish for over a month.
Well, this morning I hit the big time. Check this out:
The paparazzi have been camped outside now for a few hours and the phone hasn’t stopped ringing.
I haven’t let it go to my head, though. I really am thankful to all you little people.
And if I see you on the street, I promise to make time for an autograph.
Your turn to brag – what’s an accomplishment (big or small) that you’re really proud of?

Ooooooh… jealousy. I’m hovering at around 102,000. Grrr…
As for a proud moment, maybe introducing two of my best friends? They met and married thanks to me and they just had a little baby. I’m pretty proud of that.

Well, I speak as one of the little people, hanging around 400k from Technorati and a PageRank of “0”. I think Technorati is goofy. I mean, I can name a half-dozen sites that link to mt blog that Technorati refuses to acknowledge! What’s up with that? Not, that I’m jealous or anything . . .
A proud moment for me would be seeing my little girl born (okay, that is an easy go-to for any parent). Another would be the day I weighed in at goal, which I look forward to seeing again when I figure out how to be a parent and excercise to the degree I must to loose weight.

Cachinnator,
Since it looks like you’re going to destroy me in fantasy football this week, at least I can console myself with the fact that I have an ever so slightly higher Technorati ranking…
Euphrony,
Now, I could be completely wrong, but I wonder if Technorati only counts blogs that are registered with them towards your link total.

If you’re really interested in the magic system, I’ve got enough answers to get me to 7,000. Too long to post here–let me know if you’re interested.
Gosh I sound so mysterious, like I just came up to you on the street and offered you a Rolex.

So where does one find these fancier little stat dealymabobboer things? Mine only tells me how many “unique” visitors and this month I have had bout’ 3000. Is that bad?

Michelle,
You can email me at thekatjacobsATgmail.com.
I’m interested. Teach me your ways!
Seth,
I can’t tell if you’re serious or not. Considering the fact that you’ve written about 4 posts in the last 15 days I have to guess that you’re joking….right? If not, ummm….yes, that’s pretty good…considering you’ve written 4 posts.
Now the site I was talking about is called Technorati and it’s a blog index/search site.

HEEEEYYY. Well whadaya know. Thats pretty cool. Actually, I am pretty retarded when it comes to these kinds of things. Or, I am mostly lazy.
I am VERY humbled and happy that that many people are interested in what I am saying or doing, whether intentioanally or by accident.
Its only when I read posts like these that I get a little more proactive about this stuff.

So I figured out where a bunch of the hits are coming from…
We have had about 180,000 hits to our website in the past 6 months. We just got the blog link up (which needs to be even better) about 2 months ago.
